Reading for libel-defamation Week 3

There is an article available from the law office from Wednesday (only 21 pages) on libel tourism - you can download it here: Garnett and Richardson (2009) Libel Tourism or Just Redress? Reconciling the (English) Right to Reputation with the (American) Right to Free Speech in Cross-Border Libel Cases, Journal of Private International Law, Vol. 5, No. 3, pp.471-490
You should also read at least the background/summary to the UK libel law reforms in the Draft Defamation Bill proposed by government, and the joint select committee's response of 19 October.
This is in addition to making sure you thoroughly understand the case law in the ECtHR which you were given last week.
